Fincastle UMC is a place where we worship the risen Christ, nurture our faith, and reach out to the world with love and charity. All ages of our faith community are ministered to with loving care and devotion. Teams of dedicated volunteers provide meals to those among us who are grieving, seriously ill, or recovering from surgery. They keep in touch and assist those who are homebound and visit those who are shut-in or hospitalized. College students are supported by a secret pal program. A women’s group meets regularly for fellowship, prayer and bible study. Simply put, we are best at taking care of one another.
&Our Chancel Choir sings during Sunday worship services, with a break during the summer months. The choir also provides special music selections at Christmas and Easter. The choir sings a variety of songs ranging from traditional choral works to more contemporary pieces.
Our Bell Choir plays at various times throughout the year and for special events.
Our group of accomplished brass and wind musicians play special music and hymn and anthem accompaniments for occasional services.
Our praise band offers both traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music accompanied on guitar on occasional Sundays year-round.
We are blessed to have talented musicians who perform solo vocal anthems or musical pieces on organ, piano, brass, wind and string instruments.
